This is the largest termite species known to man. While queens can measure up to 110 mm (4.2 in), soldiers are known for having really massive heads in comparison to their body length.

Colossal squid -

The clue is in the name. This squid really is massive, reaching sizes of up to 14 m (46 ft)! But not only are they huge, these creatures hold the record for the largest eyes in the animal kingdom at around 27 cm (11 in).

Hippopotamus -

Hippos are pretty large creatures, but there is one particular part of their bodies that stands out as somewhat bizarre: their teeth. Specifically, the incisors (which can grow up to 40 cm, or 1.3 ft), and the canines (which can reach up to 50 cm, or 1.6 ft. long).

This species, native to Madagascar, has an extremely long sucking proboscis it uses to extract nectar. These can measure up to 28 cm (11 in), which is about three times the moth's body length.
