Food allergies are on the rise—but why?

In just three years, healthcare providers have seen a 72% increase in children hospitalized from severe reactions related to food allergies. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that around 8% of children have negative reactions to certain types of food compared to approximately 6.2% of adults.
