The US-based National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) recently published its 2023 Vehicle Theft Trends report. According to statistics, 1,020,729 vehicles were reported stolen to law enforcement in 2023, up from 1,008,756 in 2022. The NICB crunched these numbers down to calculate which American cities are worst for car theft, while also identifying those that are safest. It also revealed what models of cars were most targeted, and the US states where auto theft is most prevalent. So, where exactly are you likely to lose your vehicle to a thief?
