Most people are aware that drinking during pregnancy is a no-no. It increases the risk of harm to the development of the growing fetus, and many public health campaigns have focused on the fact that there's no safe amount of alcohol that can be consumed while you're expecting. The evidence is not ambiguous, it all points to a range of symptoms that create fetal alcohol syndrome disorders (FASD): a wide-ranging spectrum of issues understood to be caused by alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
