Elvis Presley's daughter unfortunately passed away just four days after her father's birthday, and less than two and a half years after her son's death. It happened two days after she attended the Golden Globes, where actor Austin Butler was honored for his portrayal of her father in the biographical drama 'Elvis' (2022).

The son of Anna-Nicole Smith and stepson of J. Howard Marshall II occasionally appeared on his mother's reality TV show on E! Network. He aspired to a career in the entertainment industry. On September 10, 2006, while visiting his mother in the hospital after she gave birth to his half-sister Dannielynn Birkhead, Daniel collapsed in the waiting room and died. The cause of death was an overdose of methadone.

After Marshall died in 1995, Smith began a well-known legal battle over his estate. In the midst of court proceedings and still deeply affected by her son's death, Smith also passed away, dying from a lethal combination of illegal substances on February 8, 2007.

O'Connor publicly appealed for his safe return, but he was eventually found dead. On Twitter (now X), O'Connor shared the shocking news of her second youngest child's death. "My beautiful son, Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God," she wrote on January 7. "May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example[...]"

The following year, O'Connor openly expressed her grief and stated that she wished to be with Shane. Considered a risk to her own life, she was hospitalized several times. On July 26, 2023, her family announced the death of the famous singer.
