The well known phrase "imitation is the highest form of flattery" seems to have some truth here! Artists have been accused of plagiarism and some have been brought before the courts for it.

In these cases, the works were copied in their entirety, in certain parts or the principal ideas. In the end, the alleged plagiarism was denounced by their authors.
