CELEBRITY Breaking news
On March 22, Kate Middleton put an end to months of speculation about her health and revealed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis in January. Six months later, on September 9, the Princess of Wales shared an emotional video to her Instagram account with the update that she has finished her course of chemotherapy. The touching moments captured in the video showed Middleton with Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, spending time in nature near her family home in Norfolk.
"As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment," she says in the video. "The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family." The 42-year-old reflected on how her health scare has reminded her not to take the truly important things in life for granted, like "simply loving and being loved." She continued, "Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes." The Princess of Wales swiftly returned to her royal duties on September 18, attending an official meeting at Windsor Castle.
